Install the new weatherstripping as the directions indicate making sure to orient the flap correctly.
Fix sliding glass door latch.
We have sliding door handles locks latches rollers strikes and other parts for sliding glass patio doors.
Take your graphite pen and insert it into the lowermost screw hole quickly to prevent the latch from falling into the frame.
Locate the two adjusting screws at the bottom of the door on the face or edge of the door and pry off the trim caps that cover the screws.

This sliding glass door lock was not working.
If that doesn t work remove the lock and purchase a new one that s compatible with your sliding glass door.
To start your sliding glass door adjustment project first lift or lower the door on the track with a screwdriver or allen wrench.
It did not latch shut.
Raise it just enough to clear the track and roll smoothly.
Sometimes patio doors become hard to open even when the track is clean.
If your door s latch isn t loose but broken or not catching you might need to replace the entire component.
It s an easy fix.
The best way to lubricate any lock is to disassemble it and use an aerosol lubricant to flush away grime and coat the moving parts of the lock.

To fix weatherstrippingthat s no longer protecting you from the elements loosen its staples with a screwdriver then pull it from the door prying gently with a putty knife if necessary.
Usually you buy just the mortised steel lock assembly that fits within the door and reuse the old handles and actuating lever.

Step 3 removing the screws two screws on the end of the door secure the latch.
Remove the handles from the door using a philips head screwdriver.
First remove the screws securing the door handle in place first with your phillips screwdriver and slide the outer latch lever out of place.
